Imagine stepping into an old, creaking manor that has stood for centuries. The air is thick with the scent of aged wood and dust, and the dim light from the chandeliers casts long shadows on the walls. This is where our puzzle begins—inside the grand parlor of the mysterious Ashworth Manor.
For generations, the Ashworth family has lived in the manor, their lineage stretching back to the early 1700s. But one member of the family, Lady Eleanor Ashworth, stands out in their history. Known for her beauty and sharp intellect, Lady Eleanor was also rumored to be involved in the dark arts, a secret she kept hidden until her death under suspicious circumstances.
In the grand parlor of Ashworth Manor hangs a portrait of Lady Eleanor. This painting, however, is not just an ordinary family heirloom. It is said that the portrait holds the key to uncovering Lady Eleanor's dark secrets. Recently, however, the portrait has been vanishing from its frame, only to reappear in other rooms of the manor before disappearing again. The family believes that solving the mystery of the vanishing portrait will reveal the truth about Lady Eleanor's fate.

The Clues
You find yourself standing in the grand parlor, staring at the empty frame where Lady Eleanor's portrait once hung. As you examine the frame, you notice a small piece of parchment tucked into the corner. Written in elegant, flowing script are the following words:
_"Where the light fades and shadows dance,
Seek the place of hidden chance.
In the room of past's embrace,
You'll find the key to solve this case."_
The first clue is clear: you must search the manor for the room where the light fades and shadows dance. This could be a reference to a room that is dimly lit, possibly a library, study, or even a cellar. As you explore the manor, you find an old study, filled with books and lined with heavy curtains that block out most of the light. It seems like the perfect place to start.
In the study, you discover a strange mark on the floor— a circle with an intricate pattern inside it, drawn in what appears to be charcoal. As you step closer, the faint sound of whispering fills the air, sending chills down your spine. Could this be the "place of hidden chance"?
The Puzzle
You realize that to make the portrait reappear, you must decipher the pattern within the circle. The pattern is made up of seven symbols: a star, a crescent moon, an eye, a raven, a key, a flame, and a serpent.
